I can hear the screams of "Nooooooooooo"
A change in commute means we will massively overshoot our current mileage allowance on our DS3 lease, and we find ourselves needing a slightly larger car.
So we have given up all that the Ds3 gives and will be swapping it for the quirkiness of a Cactus. It seems to Polarise opinion, but have driven one and had a good poke around, we really like it and suits our needs and budget.
The BlueHDi100 engine is much better than I feared. On the motorway commute my wife does, handling and performance is a non issue. The ability to cover 27k a year in comfort and peace is key.
Mr Biggie will no doubt be able to confirm but the salesman thinks the new range of engines have 16,500 mile service intervals which will suit us. I can't find any info on the web about this though, assume that the newness is the reason for the lack of info?
The DS3 has only ever seen a dealer for servicing, and been as reliable as any car ive owned in the 23k miles it's covered. The only hassle was a recent service where the dealer claimed the discs were worn out and needed replacing for £260. Having had them measured by another garage using a micrometer with me present, it seems they are both 50% worn with 21mm left of the original 22mm thickness on both sides.
If anyone wants a July 2013 Ruby Red Airdream 115HDi DSport with 23k miles for £10,500, shout out as it's being px'd in in the next couple of weeks and will no doubt be appearing on their forecourt for more than than.
