Gutted! help kerb my Bello wheel

All kerb one of my Bello wheels today only on the lip. Looking for a good fix without taking to a wheel shop. Would wet and dry paper work?

This was mine! My dad fixed mine for me... He sanded it down then used fine wet and dry paper, t-cutted it and then polished it up... He is a motor mechanic but has never done this before... But I would be very careful...

Erm he took it off the car but left it on when he was repairing it
