From November production the VTi 120 manual engine fitted to DStyle versions (including those fitted with the Plus Pack) will be replaced by the new PureTech 110 S&S manual.
The PureTech 110 engine adopts a lightweight three cylinder configuration constructed of pressure-cast aluminium and the latest generation high-yield turbocharging technology. In conjunction with Stop & Start, low friction coatings, improved air and fuel flow and optimised combustion, it delivers useable performance with greater efficiency over the previous generation engine, as well as meeting the latest Euro 6 emissions standards
The PureTech 110 S&S returns over 60mpg on the combined cycle, a 20% improvement, whilst CO2 emissions are reduced by 22g to just 107g/km. Despite the decrease in displacement and reduction in peak power output, the top speed remains unchanged and the 0-60 acceleration is slightly improved.
