  • Was bad news.... but now Good News

Got our paperwork through from Citroen today confirming the registration number etc - and I noticed it said DS3 1.6l 120 D Style. Thought hmm........ that's strange, ours is only 90bhp as it's the diesel, the only 120bhp D Style is a petrol.

Just called them and they went to take a look at the car - yup, they got it totally wrong, the one they have in the dealership is the petrol so if we want our spec, we will now have to place our order through the normal system and wait for months to get it!! Not good as we have already sold our car on and are now totally stranded!!:mad::mad:

Thats shocking, how have the managed to balls that up?
'10 DSport in Black/Carmen Red 'Daisy' - Traded back in
    '61 DSport+ in White/Black 'Poppy'
'We do what we must, because we can.'
Entropy... It's not what it used to be...

My god. Change your dealer !!!!!

If you want a great dealer, give Ellie a call at Thompson First in Stroud on: 01453 763100

If anyone can find one in your spec. it'll be her.

Really feel for you, that is messed up.

        Cheers

        Ian

No idea, phone call to Citroën customer services at 8am tomorrow to see what they're going to do about it. Absolutely livid - they even admitted on the phone the cock up would probably have gone unnoticed till we'd signed for it and got it home if we hadn't picked up their error on the letter! And it's the second time they got it wrong too - initially we'd been told it was the 99g emission one, which I queried a few days later after realising it couldn't possibly be as it had the 17" alloys - so they then allegedly checked and came back and said oh it's the 104g emissions model. So that's twice they've been wrong and we've had to spot their errors! 4 days from handover this time too! No idea where I'll stand but bottom line is we need a car now, or they can compensate for what it'll cost us in hire cars and my self-employed husband's loss of earnings through having no transport to get to his clients!!

that seems to be typical of citroen dealers .All they care about is getting your money .Good customer services they have no concept of it.

Have been on the phone to Citroen customer services this morning, and so far (touch wood) they've been very helpful. Spoke to a woman who was completely shocked at the incompetence of the dealer not knowing what they had on their forecourt and was very insistent that she'd speak to a manager straight away and get this resolved for us.

Still really upset though, as whatever happens we now won't be getting our car on monday.

                  Thats shocking!
Phone citizens advice and see if they can help.
I have found my dealers customer service poor. All they are interested in is getting your cash.
I paid 3000 deposit on 15th feb, promised an update weekly.

As of yet,19th march not one phone call!!!
when i contact them my salesperson is not in or busy.
I find this service totally unacceptable.

My wife recently purchased a mercedes and i can tell you there service is first class.
From first walking into the show room to the hand over we were treated like we were valued customers.
And may i add still are ,we have had several calls to make sure we are happy.

SO COME ON CITROEN GET YOUR DEALERS ACT TOGETHER!

hope everything works out well for you.
                  Regards John..

Thanks for all the sympathy - it helps a little!

Still no further news. Dealership are 'trying to get a date for a new one' and Customer Services say it's been passed to the regional manager but we've heard nothing direct from them yet.

Useless and I'm still so mad!!

                      Call from the dealer.

Dealer: "We do have a diesel coming in - white with a red roof."
Hubby: "Ok so.... completely the opposite colour to what I wanted."
Dealer: "Well yes but it is a diesel. Oh and if we ordered one in now it would be for a May build and delivery 10 weeks after that."

                      WTF???

Ian - thanks for suggesting we talk to Ellie, hubby's just phoned her and she was extremely helpful, looked on the database while he was on the phone and said there are categorically no black diesels in the UK. She said she could get us one probably for June, which is certainly preferable, but just holding fire until we hear back from Customer Services about what they can do.

Apparently she did say "I wouldn't want to be the salesperson who made that mistake!" LOL

May i suggest that if you have a invoice for your stated car and a delivery date for such,
the dealership are in breach of contract and would therefore be liable for compensation as they have broken this binding agreement.
Furthermore if you are now with out a vehicle as a result of there breach this should also be compensated for.
I would advise you to speak to the dealership at director level.
And not to take no for an answer.
I have my own company and take it from me management do not want these kind of issues to be dealing with.

                        Good Luck,
                        Regards John.

apparently Citroen are bringing out new rules and regs for the dealerships to achieve or they won't be Citroen approved - and according to my source there's at least 40 who are already failing before the new rules officially start

                            A year on...

I'm back, with a DS3 White edition ready to pick up on 1st March (could've been before but we've bought '11 plates for it!)

Different dealership, needless to say... ;-)
