Been there! I used Meguiars ScratchX. Take your time, use plenty of the product & don't apply too much pressure & it does a good job.

Cheers DaveB - I was worried that if I tried to polish it out, I'd just end up with a matt-black dash!

              Hey folks

I found some black Turtle Wax colour polish in the garage.
It had what looks like a black wax lipstick with it to repair scratches.
I rubbed this into the scratch then polished it.
Hey presto no scratch!!!! Cant even see where it was!

Well done m8, just goes to show what some of the old favorite products can do

Wouldn't have worked on my dashboard though

When the Meguars arrives I'm sure I will find something to do with it

Hi all, i had the same problem was worried how to remove scratch-scuff marks of my lovely black shiny dash also off the roof....as decided to test my autoglym super resin polish....wow... it removed everything and left the surface like it had just come out of the showroom, you need to use a micro cloth with very light feather touch gentle movements and you will see the scratches disappear then just clean the car as normal, i though i would have to change the dash or have the roof professionally finished. On the outside i use autoglym hd wax and that has kept everything off the car, including bugs they just wipe off leaving no residue. Try it it really does work...
