I went for it on mine as i recon its going to save me the price of one service at least in the first 3 years..
I do 30k miles a year. And its limited to 30k miles or 2 years..

      mines a deisel btw

Im going to have to service it anyway and the cost of 2 services ONE FULL service with things being changed is going to be more than £199...

Guys do remember with these £199 services that it does not include the cost are replacing any parts such as wipers or brakes, the £199 only includes items listed in the service book which would be oil filters, oil, etc.

We went for it with our diesel. Only do about 12-15k a year.

I went for it too. But I am thinking now whether it is worth it? Biggie in a non bias opinion, is this deal taking?

The standard Service at year two would cost about £170 on it's own, so if you are doing low miles only then the two extra checks to make sure nothing is wrong is not bad. If you are doing bigger miles then I feel it's not worth it so much. The plan only covers ONE scheduled service so if you are racking up the miles you have paid extra for nothing in my opinion.

I took out the service offer when I bought my car last September, all I have is a yellow receipt, should I have received any further documentation ?

The service plan i took for £199 was either 2 years or 30'000 - which equates to two service both at 12k miles i was told.

If a service costs £170 a time and I am getting 2 services for £199 I should essentially save £141...

                    Nope ^

As I said you only get one service for the service plan at £199 the other two are just inspection services and one with a brake fluid change

Thanks John, kind of wish Citroen would make the Service plan a little more clearer to customers!

                            Just to be clear...!

I have the 1.6 THP Petrol and do 16k miles / year.
Service interval is then 20k miles or 2 years.

My understanding is that with the service plan I get:
After 1 year (16k miles) - An inspection
                            @20k miles (1yr 3months approx) - First Actual Service
+ 1 year after that (provided im within 35k?) - Another inspection

I have taken the plan but just wanted to be sure I understood!

                            Cheers

your timing is correct but with the inspections you get an oil filter and oil change done.

Would Citroen pay for the main service 3 months after the inspection service John?
