The A686 from Haydon Bridge to Penrith is pretty special too.

Used to be based up there back in the days when I only had a bike licence, the roads are great but the weather isn't

My all-time favourite road for fast sweeping bends and kick-ass scenery is the A44, all the way from Aberystwyth through mid-Wales to Oxford - a brilliant driver's road all the way.

I regularly used to do that one at 6am on a Monday morning. Happy days.
