The other difference is the additive that is used in Blue HDI. If its the same as being used in the new C4 Cactus HDI it last for 12,500 miles before needing to be topped up so basically every service. A warning comes on the dash if its not done that there is 700 miles left and after that the vehicle will not start until the additive is added. I presume this has been built into the DS3 as well?

I had wondered what the useful differences between these two were as most places I've looked have stated that the 0-62 time on the Blue is nearly a second slower than the Airdream despite having an extra 5bhp!

Bear in mind that the gearing of the cars will have an effect as well, the purpose of the ADBlue is to reduce emissions.

The 12,500 mile interval is for the AdBlue top up only and not the engine as a whole.
