My DS3 is leased from Citroën and at least one of the alloys needs repairing. Does anyone know what's deemed an acceptable repair? Is a machine repair, where they laithe the wheel lacquer it and spray it for around £60 acceptable?

Manheim auction will collect car on behave of Citroen. I was told a alloy with a mark over 25cm would be a chargeable repair.

Just returned my driving school lease car. Both nearside alloys required repair with the front wheel needing serious repair. Local body shop wanted £100 to repair both alloys. I'm pretty handy so repaired myself as follows. Filed both alloys (Bellones) back into shape. Used 3 different grades of wet & dry to give final shine. Final protection with clear lacquer spray. It took some 5 hours to get the finish. Passed Manheim's inspection without any issues. In fact the comment was that as a driving school car all the alloys were in very good condition . Manheim will charge £63/ alloy to repair. Manheim stated that there is NO leeway on alloy damage. Hope this assists.

I was told when I asked Manheim for clarification that any damage that exceeds 10mm will be deemed abnormal wear!
As I'm putting bellones on the bumblebee when she comes on Tues I'm swapping 2 wheels which I know will not pass their inspection - for new ones - but I'm unsure of one so will keep one on standby just in case.
Anyone else have to rectify any other damage - scratches, dings, anything on the interior etc?BumbleBee OneTwenteeee!

I have a spare set of 5 in the garage ;-)
I bought them when I was told bellones might not be available on the new DSport pus! I don't really like the look of the new alloys you see!
I might repair the worst one, but as there's a possibility of it gettting scuffed again, is it really worth the bother?! LolBumbleBee OneTwenteeee!

Bear in mind the 25/28 cm is for the entire wheel, i.e all the scuffs total up to over 25/28 cm then repair is needed.
If you are in any doubt then contact Manheim and they will guide you....I should never have doubted the Lord of Bacon!!

Do they actually get repaired at all by Mannheim, as if you look at the auction lots, most of the cars have scraped alloys and this would be cost passed onto the dealers as it could be offset against tax on the selling profit if you see what I mean. I suspect the charge is simply a notional depreciation versus a vehicle with unmarked wheels.62 Reg DS3 DStyle Plus - Sport Red with Black Roof

Very true, the finance company will have a disposable figure for the car and damage elements will reduce the resell value of the vehicle compared to written back figure.
Plus it has to form part of the contract in order to allow the finance company control of the condition of the vehicles....I should never have doubted the Lord of Bacon!!
