Help needed - loss power, juddered to halt, won't start, fan noise

Today after a few days of the engine feeling like it was cutting out my DS3 TDI juddered to a halt. Now it won't start and the fan noise stays on long after ignition.

Any ideas? Service light came on last week so advised to take out for a motorway run which I did. Was ok all week now it's not. Help!
