DOHA: Al Naael Co, the exclusive agent for French cars Citroen, has launched last night the latest Citroen DS3 model, considered by French people and other car enthusiasts across the world as the car built with creativity and innovation.
Michel DHE, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the French Embassy here, unveiled the DS3 at the Citroen Showroom on Salwa Road with Ahmed Saeed Bajubair, General Manager of El Naael.
“This is a very comfortable car and Citroen is trying to reinvent and recreate itself with this new model,” Michel said.
He added that Citroen has been a tradition among French people and because of the creative and innovative technology it has developed to be the fourth largest car manufacturer in the world.
Bajubair said the DS3 model is already available to the local market with price ranging from QR97,000 for twin turbo and QR89,000 for other models.
According to El Naael executives, the Citroen DS3 will meet the Qatari market’s need for this type of cars, which bring together a youthful, excellence-hungry character, a dynamic performance and an aesthetic exterior, the magical combination that defines Citroen.
With its sculptural styling and striking lines, the DS3 exudes enormous appeal. It is a truly distinctive vehicle with a strong personality built on original creations including a ‘floating’ roof, a ‘shark fin’ that lends vigour to the waistline, and recesses on the nose housing LED lights.
The sophisticated instrumentation – with three conical dials on the cluster – driver-focused commands, low-set driving position and body-hugging seats lend a cockpit feel. Chrome trim further enhances the overall sense of vitality with luxury and distinction.
The DS3 is in fact not one but a multitude of vehicles, that each person can create in his or her fashion. Exterior personalisation components include the roof, body, rear view mirror housings and wheels. Inside, customers get a choice of dashboard strip, gear stick knob and a host of other interior equipment with a panoply of colours, fabrics and materials.
