  • waiting for a recovery truck

Bleeding thing just lost power in the fast lane on the A1 Northbound.

Juddered it over to a lay by but Now got the engine autodiagnosis light stuck on ... read a few threads on here about that. Any ideas what's up so I can tell the guy when he gets here ?

    Well annoyed !!

Try disconnecting the power terminal and leaving it for 30 seconds then re-connecting it.

Should reset the car and take it out of limp mode. If it's a more serious issue it'll reoccur. Best to wait for the pickup driver to take it back to Citroen just to be safe though.

Cheers mate. Light went off of its own accord , and got me home from Peterborough to Rotherham.

Might still take it in on Saturday though to be safe.

Mine did the exact same thing today on the A590 on the way back from the meet!!

Dropped gear from 5 to 3 (cant remember why, must have been to overtake someone I guess) and it just juddered, engine service light came on, speedo stuck at 50. I could change gears and rev the engine but no power. So rolled to a stop on the junction to levels on A590 and turned the engine off, waited a little bit and turned the engine on again and everything was back to normal. Back home now with no more problems since then AND washed the car too

Well I've done Rotherham to Basildon and background week via Romford and had no issues at all .

Am I likely to have any follow ups ?

                  Wheeeey, just happened again .

Noticed turbo kind of hesitating on a dual carriageway and speed fluctuating under a level amount of gas, so turned on to a little quiet residential street and booted it up to 50mph, turbo cut out and engine management light comes on.

I'll give it half hour and see if it goes off.

You probably should be getting somebody to look at this for you.

The model of engine you have has a bit of a reputation. If it's under warranty, I'd be getting it straight back to Citroen if I was you.

If it's not under warranty, now may be the time to look at a part-ex.

Yeah still under warranty luckily .

Is this likely to sort itself so I can get home at least do we think (I'm in Romford for work I should probably add)

Very unlikely it will sort itself. Get it Citroen and have a search on the forum for "THP Hesitation issues".

                              Right, as an update.

Engine management light has gone off, tore round that estate using turbo to its fullest potential and it's fine.

As long as it gets me home tomorrow it'll be straight into the garage on Friday.
