Hire car hell :(

Currently on a course this week with work and been handed a corsa 1.4, quite possibly the most horrible drive I've had :O, plus at revs its seems to be louder than my diesel!!

So what's the worst hire car you guys had?

I think it was the VW Polo we had in Bosnia. It seemed to be the lowest powered car I had ever driven. I'm sure not all Polos are like that.
(Plus I bent it which didn't help matters )

I have a large dislike to Vauxhall as it is I guess

Fiesta EcoBoost 1.0L economy thing....

Many issues, not least of which was that it returned ave. mpg of 36 (hardly eco) whilst I had it for a week, had a small fuel tank so saw lots of Petrol forecourts, was limited to 70ish mph so overtaking on motorways was a no no and sounded like a bag of nails being shaken every time I drove it.

Wouldn't mind, for some reason everyone rants and raves how good they :S, put this way... I want my ds3 back now! Haha

Seat Mii. Honestly the worst car I've ever driven, underpowered and under specced, didn't even have central locking! I was so glad to get my DS3 back.

I've had a few others (Ford Focus, Hyundai i30) but the Mii definitely stood out as the worst.

One of the first UK-market Protons. Gutless engine that sounded rough above about 2,000 rev/min, uninspiring handling, mediocre ride &, to cap it all, no radio! A car that gave the impression it just didn't want to be driven.

Fortunately I only had it for a day, & it was for a business trip so I wasn't paying.

They gave me a Toyota aygo 1 litre when I wrote off my DS3 and before that a Vauxhall corsa 1.2. Never thought Id hate a car more than the Vauxhall but then the Toyota was just hideous. Bright Orange. Sounded like a plane landing everytime you pulled away. Long story short, I miss having a DS3 :'(

The best hire car I had through work was a ds3 dstyle vti.....
Problem is it cost me £12500 when I couldn't resist buying my self a dsport hdi!

Fiat 500 for me, terrible. Had 3 of them over 2 years, with the driving school i was with at the time. So uncomfortable, harsh ride, speed bumps feel like kerbs, steering wheel has no reach adjustment, ( i have long legs ) . Seat height only tilts the seat. the list goes on.

Try a 2009 Ford Focus 1.6i Zetec 4 Speed Auto, Jesus what a difference when my brother had his C3 1.6i Auto back I was so glad to be driving that again, The Focus is too heavy for a 1.6i Petrol. Don't know if the newer ones have improved mind.
