Really sorry if this is in the wrong section. Had my ds3 a year and am dead keen to get on to a track or do Santa pod for a day. Craving showing off my car but seem to be working for any meet or car show lol. Has anyone done a track day or keen? Anyone from the Midlands as well? Cheers Ed

Can definitely look into it A lot of the shows we go to have track times yo can book, but gets booked quickly and you only have a certain amount of time alloted. Plus never really trusted other drivers enough after seeing many dinks and black flags.

Tried a few times to get some track days going on here a couple year back, and had a bit of support
When it came to names in the frames, it didn't quite happen...
If you get anywhere let me know Tallyho
WTF is right in that you can usually get a sesh booked if you are quick off the mark for one of the bigger shows, but you usually end up going round with no other DS3ssigpicJog on Noddy

A specific DS3 track day would be best, where you can push your car to the limit
Got up to around 130 at Silverstone and over 120+_ at Brands (Shorter straight, or I bottled it lol)
Cant do that on a parade lap
Its not for everybody obvs, but if you get a group the track sesh prices are lower
Santa Pod- had a go at that too, but didn't get the numbers. A bit boring doing it independently, or just a couple of you, and watch that clutch.....sigpicJog on Noddy

See I've tried looking into it but firstly have no idea where to start ur what kit I'll need rules or regs and the main thing is recon it'd be a hell of a lot more fun doing it with friends or others with similar interests in the vehicles your pushing. I suppose there's always the chance your gonna bin it, but hey good excuse to get the newer models

Most tracks do track sessions in the novice/ intermediate/ advanced/ taster seshs' and can be anything up to £80 for a 20 min sesh. Just go to the web page of the circuit you wanna got to, and search the calendar for a day and track time sesh. You will be able to book a sesh for a club (ie DS3 co.uk) but then its getting peeps payments etc etc. Think Brands Hatch was MVT trackdays- they cover other circuits too. Ended up doing that track a few times myself only.
Santa Pod does "Run what you brung" days, which is fairly cheap, round £50 or so
Go have a little look Tallyho, as each website will have safety precautions listed (Always long sleeves and helmet, and safety briefing
Me at the front of 15 odd cars at Brands- was leading the way for a lap and half. Ended about 10th LOL:
Ed- Ive only done Silverstone and Brands (Several times each) and still haven't got out (Don't want to lol) of novice. Actually overtook several cars last time out which was fab feeling, but got bored of doing it on my own. Quite happy to attend anywhere up to Midlands way if theres a few going :-)
