[Personally I would rather go somewhere that they know my name after the event, where you feel valued, and there is trust than getting another 2/3 hundred pounds of a car.

Here endeth the first lesson. LOL[/QUOTE]

If it was £200 then I totally agree but when the difference is £600 thats too much for me. I wish they could get closer it would be miles easier for me

It's a big shame that we are at opposite ends of the country and I would have been delighted to be your serving dealer.
I understand your view Biggie but please bear in mind that many people on here bought from dealers only to find they got crap service anyway.
When I bought mine I didn't mind the price as there were no discounts about at that time but what a pity the dealer did nothing to ensure I go back again.

I remember a friend of mine who drove 10 miles to save 20p on a screw set, when he came back he was very proud of the saving, until we all pointed it out to him!!

@jimbob - I know this and to be honest I still can't believe the grief some of you have got. What you might not know is that part of the bonus system Citroen use includes reaching a certain standard of customer care, the questionnaire that you get after you collect you car is used to measure this standard so if the dealer does not match up then say so and they will not get the extra cash.

The idea is to make sure that the dealers give customer the best care, I know it's more of the stick than carrot approach and that it only pays 2% so many dealer do just ignore it, which reflects poorly on the few of us who do try our best to make it personal and trust customers well rather than an entry in a sales ledger. The thing is over the years is that people are far more interested in naming the bad dealers and forget to name the ones who did well...

          Biggie

I don't mind travelling a long way for my next Citroen. I would rather drive to Scotland and get a smile than get ill treated locally.
But please don't make me chose between you and John Nicol!!!
