^ I understand what you are saying but unfortunately it doesn't always work like that.

When a new model year comes in most new orders will be switched over to the new model year if the order is not already scheduled at the factory floor. What I would expect though that dealers would be checking their orders (aware of model year change) to see if their current orders are rolled or not, then advise customers as such.

Floor order slots at the factory are normally filled a couple months ahead, so if I ordered a car now (month 1) and the model change occurs month 3 but my order is not scheduled until month 3 then my order will by default become the new version. If my order (month 1) is scheduled in month 1 then my order would be the current version as the new build wasn't due until month 2. Hope that helps (or makes sense!)..

Dealers (me included) should be checking build times and codes to ensure that what is being ordered at factory is right, granted sometimes when orders are rolled Citroen forgets options but that's no excuse for the dealer not to be double checking.

I lost count the amount of times I checked and double checked the codes on a certain special request order!!

Do you have a copy of the order placed?

      With extras, trim, options etc?

I know when I ordered my first DS3, all extras and my options where listed. This was back in the day when you had to pay extra for the chrome side strips!

I beg to differ having waiting 7 months for aforementioned car and checking configurator almost daily grey wheels were always available as a no cost option.

                You waited 7 months???

Bear in mind that the configurator is not always current (and like the brochures covered by a disclaimer) and is updated well after any PIBs are published. Anyway I gather you have the latest model year DSport+ with the fancy new Xenon lights (from which I know most members on here would crawl over broken glass to have!)and City Brake so that surely makes up for the wheels being the slightly wrong shade

I can just about live with the black wheels to go with the deep scratch on the door on delivery. I have had an offer of respray of drivers door and rear quarter panel which I believe would be more of an eyesore and doubt finish would be anywhere near factory finish! Only wish dealer would be on this forum as might have a chance of him getting in touch to get an amicable resolution!

The factory paint is nothing to write home about. Quite thin easy scratched. If they respray and it doesn't match they will just have to keep doing it till it does.

And 7 months! I would have walked away.

The risk of multiple resprays is one I am not willing to take. The inconvenience of being without car also not an option as experienced this while waiting for car. I wouldn't diss the citroen paint job as the pearlescent white is stunning and my previous babylon red ds4 had the best sheen of any of my previous cars.

The DS price list for March 2015 says on page 12 that the 17 inch grey Bellone wheels are temporarily unavailable.
