Collecting DS3 Racing

After much deliberating we are finally collecting our DS3 Racing 11 plate with a genuine 7700 miles on Black with Orange. Double edged sword really looking forward to owning and enjoying driving it but it is at the expense at having to sell my Subaru Impreza Type R classic. I have been an avid Subaru fan for 20 years so the DS3 has a lot to live up to but I'm sure I won't be dissapointed. Will post some pics once collected

Well lets hope the previous owner ran the car with super unleaded from day one or you will have a ticking time bomb on your hands

Just saw another tale of woe at my local dealers sitting there with number 4 cylinder and valves blown

This car is just out of warranty and the dealer submitted a good will claim into CUK and they asked for all the service records and every fuel receipt before they even look at the claim ..............................so good luck with this epic car

Likewise! Nearly went for a 12 plate with just 4000 miles on the clock, but the private dealer wouldn't offer any additional warranty above citroens 3 yr warranty..
Service log didn't appear to have any records of yearly inspections either, so on citroens own advise...I walked.

Hope the O.P doesn't have a problem and enjoys his new motor trouble free :cool:

Doesn't the Sale of Good Act not cover cars? I mean - surely a case could be made that the Racing DS3 in particular was 'not of merchantable quality', given the anecdotal (and actual) reports about the failure rates of them?

I saw a white racing at my dealers yesterday, it's on their website with approx 17k miles (second engine) and has been traded in as warranty is about to expire and owner suspects engine is failing again So sad, beautiful car, too many issues....

Thanks for welcomes Guys and all comments I had confirmation that Citroen will cover engine failure over next 12 months as they know vehicle and has been serviced by dealer throughout so all looks good.
