  • Alloy Wheel Corrosion Problems

    Hi Guys,

So I noticed some corrosion on each of my wheels (This was noticed at the time of pickup). When I had a spare key recoded last weekend, the dealer took pictures of my wheels to send off to his Service Manager, who replied saying claims can only be made up to 3 years old as of the date of the registration. My DS3 was registered in November 2011 - So it's just out. Has anyone else managed to get there alloys sorted (due to corrosion) outside of this time at all?

    Cheers.

I'm not sure, you could try a different dealer maybe and ask them to refer it to CUK ?

My dealer did supply his sales managers email and suggested I contact him and see if there was anything he could do - could be worth a shot, although I have a feeling he'll say exactly the same as the service manager did i suspect...

Cheers WTF, I have had a browse through previous posts but can't seem to lock one day where an individual has had a problem with the wheel after 3 years. Gah!

Mine were past the mark. My dealer said they'd speak with CUK etc after sending some photos off.

As winter approached, I decided my bellones will be my winter set, and I'll pick up a new set spring/summerish time.

So my post doesnt really help as I never followed through.......

But ya never know, they could offer a "good will gesture", maybe cover part cost to replace and you cover the rest?
Test the waters and see whats said

Just an update. My car is going into the garage today. They are going to send the wheels off to be refurbed free of charge. So, a result if any in the end!
