So, I was toying with the idea of changing my car, it's a 63 plate (18 months old) dstyle+ 1.6 hdi. My car is in superb condition and has 52k miles.. Anyway I contacted parks who offered me 7k trade in against a new ds3. I still owe 10k, so I'm in negative equity. No big deal though, if I keep the car one more year I can hand it back and start again.. Anyway I thought I would give Motorpoint a try. Was looking at a Ford Focus 64plate 1.6 hdi Zetec s nav. The car was priced at £13999. So I gave him my vehicle details for a trade in valuation, to say I was surprised and insulted in equal measures would be under stating my emotions at what they came back with. The offered me £3800 for my car, that's not a typo (£3800).. I explained when I bought the car it booked at £17k, how could it possibly lose almost £14k in 18 months. And like I said my car is immaculate:confused::confused: !!

Brought mine from new list price was around 17k for a dsport with city pack and HiFi pack options. Got it for 15k odd. Its a 12 plate so 3 years old now, and now worth around 10k.
