Looking At New DSport Plus - Need Help With Options & Engine

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help as a few dealers I've spoken to don't seem too sure about the available options. I've also looked at the Feb 2015 brochure and it seems to contradict what I'm being told.

The things I need help with are:-

1. Can a DSport Plus have eMyWay with reversing camera and the Hi Fi upgrade - I've read a few posts which suggest you can't have a reversing camera and a Hi Fi upgrade? The options packs suggest it can however, Citroen Car Configurator won't allow this and the dealers seem really unsure
2. Can I have a DSport Plus with black Bellone wheels. Citroen Car Configurator won't allow it and 1 dealer from 4 tells me their not an option. The brochure I have however shows them as standard
3. Can I have black wing mirrors? The Plus pack changes them to chrome and the same dealer is again telling me I can't. Citroen Car Configurator does not allow black wing mirrors but 3 dealers say I can
4. Do I have to pay for a front arm rest? The Plus pack should add it however Citroen Car Configurator offers it as a chargeable option and 2 dealers I telling me it is a paid for option.
5. I only have the choice of 2 engines and am not sure which to get - 165 petrol or 120 diesel. I now only do around 3000 miles per year and although I've always tended to have diesels I've heard low mileage diesel Citroens have problems with the DPF. 2 dealers have confirmed this whereas 2 are saying the new software means it's not a problem.

Welcome! The range is being simplified to try and make the options simpler to understand, as it is over complicated at the moment, as you have discovered!

I was actually looking at ordering in April but looks like I'll be waiting until May.

I went through similar problems a few months ago. I ended up ordering a Sport rather than Sport plus and adding the stuff I wanted. My logic was along the lines of - I want the black bellones not the Aphrodites, I wanted leather seats but I prefer blue and I prefer the roof colour wing mirrors (to match the blue canvas top of the cabrio I chose). So, although I like the value of the sport plus pack I ended up with a sport with added customisation (extras).
Regarding diesel or petrol, I chose diesel. My views having now lived with it for a couple of weeks are that I love the MPG and low rev torque, but the gears are very short, which leads to lots of changes to keep in the power zone. I drive low - moderate milage and on balance think perhaps the petrol would have been a better choice, and is possibly more suited to the cabrio.

No as far as I'm aware you can't have the camera on the Plus verion, both options are not part of the model table for that version. The standard eMyWay is an option

No, the arm rest is part of the spec

As long as the car gets a good 15 minute run once a month you would be fine and don't use cheap supermarket diesel

What you need to bear in mind here is that the Plus version is just a special edition, you would be better off going for the standard Sport and speccing the way you want.

Don't forget that from May the new versions will be available to order, Hope that helps

Thanks for all the replies. From reading the responses and looking at the link from Soran and May PDF from Bigfeet I think it's now going to be May before I place the order. I really want the Hi Fi option and Reversing Camera and the option of touchscreen too makes a few more weeks wait worthwhile.

Am i right in thinking though that the new range will be:-

Dsign
Dstyle
Dstyle Nav
Dsport
Ultra Prestige

And that the Plus Pack / Special Editions / Signature Options have all been dropped? Do you therefore just take the standard specification for one of the above and literally add everything you want?
