Found this in a Google Search. I'm not sure if it's official but it seems to be suggesting the next DS3 will be released in 2018 and be 5 door. I'm really not keen on 5 door small cars but it wouldn't surprise me given the Clio, Focus and Ka are all 5 door only.

It's as "official" as any of the other speculation & photoshopped pictures of the "new" DS3 that have been around for the last couple of years.

My personal opinion is that if they wait until 2017 to replace the DS3 it will be too late.

I must admit I'm very impatient for the new model. There just isn't anything else in its class that tops it IMO. I'd be tempted by a Fiesta ST if it had an interior to rival the ds3. In fact, rival car interiors are pretty terrible. Just look at the Seat Ibiza. Even the A1 is drab.
But we're only 5 years into the DS3's life. 7-8 years is fairly standard before the next marquee is introduced.

Hopefully with the DS3, they will take their time and get it right. As some dealers have said to me how do you replace such a good looking car?

Sporty hatchbacks with five doors is just sooooooooo wrong! For some reason the image on l'auto-journal immediately made me think of the Austin Maestro even though they don't really look similar. I did once have a Maestro :lemon: :redface:

If you like it that's fine, but for me there are so many bad aspects to the design.

I certainly would. In fact, if it looks like any of the renders we've seen so far, I'll be looking elsewhere.
