  • New Instrument Warning?

    Hi All,

Are we getting tyre pressure sensors on the car now? Had this pop up on the dash yesterday morning.. 3rd gear hill climbing when it flicked on.

I'v had a good kick of the tyres and they're fine - theres only 500miles on the clock  What's this mean?

Our DS3 Dstyle plus has them, I would test all the tyres with a standard pressure gauge, if they are correct there is an option to reset the tyre pressure sensors in the trip computer screen. Once you've set it to the correct pressure it should only illuminate if you have an issue, theoretically it should already have been done before delivery.

Same happened to me after 200 miles. Just check your tyres for pressure and reset in menu. Procedure is listed in handbook pages 154-158.

Have you tried checking your... Handbook. A very good thing to look at to figure out an unknown indication. The warning is pg 32 in the online handbook http://service.citroen.com/ddb/#/34 should be the same in yours.

I'm in the habit of checking the tyre pressures the moment I leave the garage. The mazda has a recommended tyre pressure of 2.2 bar (31 psi or so) all round, it was delivered with 22 psi in all 4 tyres which is a special kind of special for a garage..

On this subject, I keep getting a "tyre pressure system fault" ( or something like that)
Am able to clear it by reinstallising the tyre pressure, but do wonder if this resets the whole system or just hides the warning

At least they didn't put 22 bar in!

All it will do is reset the system.

I would take that back to get it looked at, all the cars with this system will be less than a year old so it should be a warranty issue unless you've done something to damage it in some way. All the dash message does is reset your pressure sensors if one is faulty the fault will reoccur.
