  • Bluetooth/System Upgrade

I have the iPhone 6 however when I receive phone calls no names come up on screen .

I visited a Citroen garage who told me I require and upgrade however I'd need to pay £80 for this despite my car only being a year old.

He did however day if I took out the Citroen service plan with them he could sort it for free :/

Anyone know if this kinda thing Should be completed on warranty ?

    I wouldn't pay for this !

My dealer gave me a free stereo head unit firmware update a couple of weeks ago under the warranty that came with the car. It was to stop the radio station being changed from Radio 1 to a static when you complete a bluetooth phone call.

As far as I know Citroen don't have a fix for the name display issue on iPhones (my 4 didn't display them and neither does my 6) as they and Apple blame each other for the cycle of iOS upgrades making them incompatible with the car display.

I have this exact same issue regarding Radio 1 dropping out to some randomness when you put the phone down. Does happen with other radio stations, too. It's quite an annoyance not knowing who's calling, too - I answered the phone on Sunday and it was one of those PPI calls. Had no way of knowing before picking it up.

I would absolutely not be paying £80 for an upgrade - these should be completed free of charge. Most other cars that have more modern systems always display the caller's name. It's a shame because the stereo is otherwise great - just the user interface and general system appears vastly outdated in 2015.

This issue with Radio 1 has just started in the last few weeks .. Will need to take it in to get upgraded and I shall not be paying
