  • Quick question re Bluetooth please

Hi, I picked up my new ds3 dstyle plus cabrio last night, absolute love it so far however I have tried to link my phone up to the Bluetooth by following the instructions in the owner manual but 'Bluetooth' is not coming up as an option on the menu. I don't think it has blue tooth as my wont find it either(iPhone 4s).

Can anyone tell me if this spec of ds3 should have Bluetooth? It was listed for sale with bluetooth. It's a 63 plate registered October 2013.

    Many thanks

Ps I'll be posting pics asap

Hi, it should have Bluetooth. I had a DStyle Plus as a courtesy car a couple of weeks ago, and that had it. It should come up as one of the options after you press 'menu' on the radio. I can't recall the exact step-by-step without sitting in the car. Ideally the dealer should've shown you this.

The thing is it's not coming up in the menu, no mention of Bluetooth anywhere in the menu and I have followed the manual to the letter.

I bought it was a car supermarket and this is the only thing I did not check before doing the deal.

If I ring citroen and give them the reg no. will they be able to tell if it has it or not?

Secondly if it doesn't have Bluetooth do you think the place where I purchased it from should compensate me as it was sold stating it had Bluetooth ?

        Thanks for your quick replies

Do you still have the original listing stating it had bluetooth

Edit-Just done a quick bit of research and I would say it should have bluetooth

I thought so. Is it a bit odd that it doesn't? The previous owner was Citroen on the V5. Is there any other way of knowing it it does have it apart from the menu?

Do you have the manual and followed that to hook up your phone?

I followed the manual to the letter. The option of Bluetooth is not showing up in any menus.

I have downloaded some documents from 'Bigfeet's File Repository' which shows that Bluetooth is an optional extra on the dstyle plus cabrio, only standard on the dsport plus cabrio.

I'm going to ring Citroen later and give them my registration number, hopefully they will be able to confirm it it had it added.

If it hasn't got it do you think the place I purchased it from should compensate me as it was advertised with Bluetooth which I have in black and white?

                    Thanks for your assistance

You can try speaking to the car supermarket and see what they say, when you speak to Citroen you could see if they'll confirm the price of them fitting Bluetooth aftermarket and then you can quote that to the place you bought it from

                        Sounds like a good plan.

                          ok update for you.

Car does not have Bluetooth. Motorpoint where I bought it from has agreed to fit it for me. They have given me 2 models of Parrot kit to choose from , CK3100 or MK19200.

I don't know how I feel about having kit mounted to my dash. I have rang citroen to see if there is any kit that can be connected to the existing head unit and then controlled by the stalks on the steering wheel but they stated no.

Will the parrot unit be portable or permanently fixed do you know?

                          Thanks guys

The other option would be an aftermarket Bluetooth headunit

I think it will be permanently fixed but sure someone will point out if its not, if you do go for one i think the MKi9200 is the better one as i think you can stream music with that one and not with the CK3100 but do your research first as i am sure you would
