hasn't kerbed it and the tyre is unmarked next to it.has anyone else come across an issue with these alloysClick image for larger version

First pic is corrosion, the protective finish somehow got damaged allowing the metal to corrode, As to how it was damaged no way to know. Would take in to the dealer and see if they will replace under warrantee. All it would take is a pinhole in the paint and there it is corrosion. Very common on the older Bellones around the center caps.

So don't blame her! Bad for the night life anyway lol

Definitely corrosion. A lot of Bellones have been replaced under warranty, mine included, so it'd be worth talking to the dealership. I'd check all the wheels before you do though.

Thanks for the replies will take it to the dealers on Saturday and see what they say, the cars only done just over 1k miles so a bit concerning they are already corroding, will double check the other wheels as I only noticed the problem when washing the car

Most likely what has happened is that the car suffered a puncture during transit and has had the tyre replaced, while this has been done the edge of the alloy has been nicked allowing water to penetrate the metal causing the corrosion. Speak with you dealer about having the alloy exchanged under the warranty for the car.

I'm beginning to think my Bellones might be suffering from corrosion. Might investigate and pop some pics up after it's been cleaned.

Ive got a 10 plate with nasty corrosion going on. Took it to a dealer when first noticed it and theu tokd me they've never come across it and it won't be a citroen warranty replacement. So....what chances do I have?!.....0 I reckon.

Some dealers appear to be much better than others at dealing with this - mine, Tates Crawley were excellent and sorted it with no fuss at all

Same here, car 2 1/2 years old with relatively minor corrosion compared to some I have seen, but my dealer of 12+ years got me a new set and swapped everything over with no fuss either.

freeborn wokingham - been waiting 4-5 weeks for them to "get a reply" from citroen. chase the service manager & he doesn't return calls.

                          Citroen UK no help either.

                          grrr.
