Hi all, I have a blue Ds3 loved every minute in driving it. However, one slight problem has occurred. Something has got into the black lacqur and had spilled all down the wheel, I don't know what it is. Anyway I've sent some pictures into my local citroen garage and they said they would send the pictures of to CUK warranties department. However I got a phone call today saying it's been declined, which I'm quite cross about becusse I've only had the car for around 2 months? Please could some help me. I've tried to attach some photos but if they don't show, I've given as much detail as possible.

Should this be covered under warranty?

My question would be did something get on the wheel and ruin the paint after you took delivery? If so then can not see it being a covered thing. Or was it like that when you picked it up or show up in the paint after normal usage which I would then expect to be covered as would point to a material failure rather than damage.Originally posted by cyclone
It is in the handbook. Satisfied.

Looks like to me that the wheel has been repaired (badly). Unfortunately if this was the case then there is no claim for Citroen Warranty, your best bet here is to tackle the dealer direct....I should never have doubted the Lord of Bacon!!

I'm just really annoyed because I've only had the car 2 months as I have said and its already been in 4 times for this job to be done but it hasn't acfually been touched. The courtesy car I had was another DS3, was filthy inside, had no fuel and no screen wash. I know I may be being very picky but somehow this is not my fault?

I can see both sides here, the dealer would believe you should've checked the car and raised it as an issue before buying it (Citroen won't be on the hook as it happened after originally being sold and then a bodged repair).
On the other hand the dealership should recognise this repair is v below par and I'd be appealing to their customer service dept for a review of their stance.

Thankyou all for your help. I've contacted CUK about it and they have opened a case for me because I think its not right me having the car literally 2 months and it being in the garage most of the time. They have given me a reference number and they should be calling me back tomorrow. Will keep you posted. Thanks again!
