  • Recommended dealer in Worcs/ Warks? Or, nationwide with knowledge of disabled drivers

Many thanks to those who answered my earlier post about best seats for wheelchair driver. In that post I mentioned I'd asked dealer (where I'd first tried the DS3) to check if roof grabhandle can be fitted to driver's side. A helpful person on this forum has confirmed the holes will be under the headlining and so retro fitting would be fine, but the dealer hasn't got back to me which doesn't exactly inspire confidence...so......can anyone recommend a dealer in Worcs/ Warks who is good at answering the less obvious questions and if possible dealing with disabled drivers and their particular requirements.

Thanks again....this is a brilliant forum and having at long long last found ( looking for two years ) a car that I can get into and love, I soooo want to be able to get on and buy one. Like any normal potential buyer
I want to be thinking about colour combos not still worrying whether a dealer will be able to ' go the extra mile' ( well not even mile really) to check and confirm they will fit grabhandle

I'm a little bit far away but please feel free to ask me any questions, been dealing with various disabled drivers with Motability for 15 years and hopefully would have some answers or suggestions that may help.

Thanks...I think you were one of the helps on the seat question....right now I just need ' official' confirmation that I can have a roof grabhandle retro or factory fitted to the driver's side...I've seen a photo of one on that side ( it was on a continental LHD so was their passenger side) . Someone on this forum said the holes were there under the headlining so I need to buyfrom someone who can guarantee they can fit this for me.....I need a roofgrab, as to get into the car I sit on the edge of wheelchair, left hand on car seat, lean in to car, right hand on roofgrab and swing across. Dismantle wheelchair, put on passenger side, drive off, then reverse process at other end of journey ( put wheelchair back together, right hand on that, left hand on roofgrab and swing myself out of car) ....so if you could help on that point it would be great. I'm not sure the dealer I visited ' got it' ...they may have thought it was just a preference, whereas in fact it's a deal breaker...without it I can't get into the driver's side!

      Thanks
