Ok so 5 weeks ago I was driving around town when I saw a DS3. I had never cast my eye on one before probably because I wasn't in the market for a new car. Well that was that I had caught the DS3 bug and just 2 weeks later I picked up my very first DS3, a 63 plate Polar White 1.6 Vti cabrio with Infinity Blue roof, 10k on the clock. I've done 1200 miles in the first 3 weeks and now my beautiful poor MX5 is now sitting neglected on the drive. I think I will sell her in the summer to someone who can utilise her more than I currently am.
My thoughts on the DS3 so far, good and not so good are as follows:-
I love the colour combo and am really pleased I went for the cabriolet. I initially thought the infinity blue roof maybe a bit young for me but it's not - I think it's cool.
Now and again I wonder if I should have had the 155 bhp diesel as I don't like to be beaten off the line but then my insurance would be loads more. The 120bhp will do for now
Could do with a light in the glove box and of course cup holders.
Love the piano black dash but my how it attracts the dust!
I love the way I can lower the roof even at 70 mph.
Both my boys (12&14) absolutely love the car and I have just bought them a cool pillow each for inside the car on long journeys.
I am building up a great collection of cleaning products for it and have just bought a new jet wash and car vacuum for it.
My hubby has done a complete u turn as he is not a fan of convertibles/cabriot's and now he says it was a good decision
The alloys are stunning, 17" black belones
Even though the boot opening is small it's plenty big enough for my needs
My white puppy Westie loves it in the back seat with the roof open.
DRL's - love them they look so good.
The radio is naff but I just stream music or play cd's instead.
The seats are very comfy.
It looks awesome.
Overall I am so pleased with my new car. I am never out of it and am spending loads on fuel but I just want to drive it all day and night. I love the drive, it's so smooth and solid and it's easier to go quicker than you should
