DS3s Are In Our Blood

My son is 18 now and looking to buy a DS3 he has always wanted one since I got mine, what engine do you guys reccomend? Also looking to see if anyone has there's up for sale (not sure if this is against club rules) :eek:

Dude your son has good taste ... there's also the cabrio version depending on your budget also if ur son is only 18 probably one of the diesel variety they offer decent grunt and are probably cheaper to insure and alot more economical says the guy with a THP engine haha but yeah I wanted one since I set eyes on one and as time has aloud I got one and it's more then what I could have expected apart from I wish I'd gone diesel as fueling mine is a nightmare for me but that's my fault I listened to my ego rather then reason haha :lemon:

Would think one of the smaller diesels or petrol engines would be best depending on how the car will be used. That said I will be giving my 18 year old my THP when she gets off her ass and gets a license:rolleyes:

I think there is or was a 1.2 petrol version available - that should be quite cheap for insurance compared to eHDi's or THPs

I'm 18 and I have a 2012/62 DStyle Plus eHDI 90bhp. I love it! got a lot of grunt and low speed shove. It's really good on fuel, getting around 45/50 around town and 55/60 on motorways. For insurance I'm paying £1100 for the whole year, so not as bad really.

hi my 23 year old son has just bought a dstyle plus 110 puretec 1.2 turbo engine is brilliant so good i bought another one for my 19 year old son. insurance is cheap as its only a 1.2. performance matches the wifes dstyle plus 120.

The puretec there the same as fords ecoboost? What are they like climbing Welsh hills or steep climbs upwards? My old c3 1.4 engine was awful hence the 1.6 120 ds3.
