Waiting time for a DS3

Cant believe it, Im still waiting for a car I orderd on Febuary 2nd. Every month it gets delayed do to high demand in factory and today it has just gone back to September 16 th. What is going on?

Has anyone seen the new one. Apparently it hasnt got the citreon stripes on the front anymore. It will only have the ds badge.

My neighbour has a new one, a week old still has the Citroen bits on it, tempted to pinch his headlamps!

It is a pain. All franchises go through these delivery problems at various stages and the dealer often doesn't get told why. It can be demand, suppliers of components having difficulty, shortage of engines where a manufacturer supplies that engine to other manufacturers. The various options on a DS 3 do make the waiting times longer. As Bigfeet said if a dealer has one that matches your spec in stock then delivery can be quick, but obviously there isn't one. Years ago cars could sit in stock for ages and ages. Certainly there were occasions when customers changed their cars at two years old and their new car was actually built before the one they part exchanged! Fortunately those days are gone.

I ordered a 1.6 hdi 90 bhp in yellow with a black roof, bellone black alloys, black leather seats with carbon fibre dash and the new lights on the front.

They have now got back to me saying that i will be getting the new model in September and it will have the new 100bhp 1.6 bluehdi engine in it. Does this mean the shape of the car is going to be different to the model out now?

If your dealer had ordered your car in February you would have had it by now regardless of the spec, sounds to me that your order has been missed and only just sorted out.

Dealer had ordered it, its just citreon being ass holes

Now that's a loooong wait! I remember the 3 months I had to wait seemed such a long time, can't imagine 7 months!

7 months!!! When I was looking around for cars I talked to a dealer about buying new, they were wringing their hands that it might take 7 weeks for the specific car I was interested in to arrive.

It does look amazing, you must be over the moon that it's actually arrived and with you!

Ordered mine sometime in July (can't remember exact date) and was told mid November. Had a call earlier this week confirming everything looks OK for 18th November.
