Metallic Rattle

Have a rattle in the engine Bay Area, initially thought it was the heat shield, it's getting worse, sounds like two bits of metal are hitting each other, will post a video at some point wondering if anyone else has had this issue, just really irritating me

Without hearing it, it's a tough one to call. Could be anything from a heat shield as you have said or the camshaft pulley. Does the rattle get worse as you rev? Does it progress into a cracking sound? If it does, it could bee the crankshaft pulley. Not an expensive repair you'll be glad.
