    The new puretech petrol engines.....

    Hi guys,

    Looking for anyone with the new puretech petrol engines...I've currently got a ehdi 90 DStyle+ but was talking to my dealer and he mentioned these new engines and how they are getting the same mileage as the diesel and are a cheaper car.

    He's gonna get in touch and price up trading mine in and getting one of these. Just wondering if anyone has got any real world mileage figures. We all know the specs aren't accurate so don't wanna change it and then loose out beacause i'm having to fork out for extra fuel.

    In a perfect world I'd like the 110 puretech....extra power, similar mileage, cheaper payments but I won't know that until I get some prices.

    Let us know what you find out, as you said I wouldn't believe the official MPG figures which due to perfect world driving conditions tend to overstate real world mpg by upto 25%

    I'm sure if Citroen had a petrol engine that gave identical MPG figures and similar power output to the diesels we'd have heard of it already...

      Entirely dependent on how you drive, I've easily beaten the listed figures for mine (just to see if I could). It didn't last long though

        The new PureTech 110 is a great engine with plenty of 'poke' and go, more so than the 120 VTi unit it replaces.

        Fuel wise when I drove a DS3 fitted with this engine I was getting an average of around 53 MPG.

          Awesome, cheers for the advice guys's. I'm gonna pop in to the dealership on my way back from work this week and get some more info.

          Looking on the website It looks like the 110 comes with a few extras, touch screen and DAB etc. so looks like there could be a few other benefits too.

            Probably not very helpful but I've got a brand new Ice edition with PureTech 82 engine and I've roughly worked it out at around 55mpg with a mixture of town and motorway driving. I'm quite a 'keen' driver so I don't think those figures are too bad. Don't have an onboard computer that works it out for me so as I said they are rough figures
