DSport Wing Mirrors

Hi all,

First time here, got a 13 plate DSport in all black a couple of weeks back, I absolutely love it, great to drive!

Looking online and in the handbook my wing mirrors should be electronic and I should be able to fold them using the buttons on my door, but nothing happens. It says don't fold them yourself using your hands so I haven't done this yet.

Is this me being stupid or is this an actual problem?

If you have them the previous owner may have had them deactivated. A dealer can hook up there diagnostic computer and check the cars settings.

I think the folding option was only on the Plus models or if the City Signature pack was specified.

Quick check to do, on the drivers door, slide the mirror selection switch to the middle, then press down on the directional pad, if nothing happens then you don't have folding mirrors and you can fold them manually. If they do fold in, then I think you'll have to get it re-enabled by the dealer to get them to fold/unfold when locking/unlocking the car.

My "plus " has auto folding mirrors .Activated by the lock button on the fob.Great idea as I lost 2 mirrors on my Mini when parked.

Yeah I've tried that and nothing happens whatsoever. Thanks a lot for your help, cleared it up!

If you have a centre arm rest and parking sensors then your mirrors should fold, if not then not.

PMK used to remind me everytime I walked away from my car with the mirrors out, my first DS3 didn't have folding mirrors -_-

This one does and I always check when walking away now if the mirrors are in! And quick checks out of the window at home. Not that I look out of the flat to just look at my car...........
