  • Boot liner for dogs

    Hi all,

Having ordered my DS3, I'm now looking to protect it from the slobber, hairs and general muddiness of my dog when she's in the boot. I've seen that citroen provide a rubber mat protector for the boot, but I'm looking for something more comprehensive that covers and protects the back of the seat, the sides and the bumper as well. Has anyone managed to find anything that does this yet? I've found some protectors for a C3 but am unsure if the boot dimensions are exaclty the same.

Anyone managed to purchase one yet or am I the only one with a furry friend!

    Cheers
    Andy

That would be a interesting find as I could also use it, as I am tried of cleaning dog hairs of the back of the rear seat, at the moment I have a blanket on the bottom.

I have been looking at these on fleabay for on the bottom

I've been looking at this one: http://www.boot-buddy.com/index.asp

However they don't have one for the DS3 specifically, only a C3 hence my wondering about if the boot dimensions are the same.

Having seen the mess my dog has made of my current seat leon I am keen to protect the forthcoming baby better...

The C3 one my fit I can't imagine that they are that different, unless you have the sub woofer fitted in your DS3 it will then definitely be narrower that the C3.

I supposed there are 2 paths to take, 1. is call these people and ask them if they know or if they have supplied a DS3 version, or 2. go down to your local dealer with a tape measure and check yourself.

You know, she'd very much like that, much like Back to the Future on the hover boards!

              Excellent suggestion Jimbob!

I saw a dog being "walked" by a Discovery with a lead tied to its bumper a while ago. It's another world over here in the wilds of East Anglia.

I bought the Towequipe boot liner - good value. The liner shown in that ad isn't the actual DS3 version; there's a ridge moulded into it so that if you've got a subwoofer you can cut round it & still have a lip around the edge.

Does it protect the sides and back of the seat as well or is it just a tray? I need it to do the sides and back as a wet muddy dog will happily sit and lean on one!

Sorry, yes,it's just a tray. Might be worth contacting the Boot Buddy people, as they say on their website they'll contact manufacturers & get the dimensions for new cars.

Just what I was about to say. I'm sure mine was from Towquipe via Ebay and the body shape is completely different to the Ebay photo but nevertheless a good (custom) fit but it doesn't protect either the sides or the back of the (upright) rear seats. I've also got a dog who occasionally asks for a ride in the back and to protect the horizontal paintwork sill area I have a large beach size towel tucked under the boot liner and unfold it over the paintwork when I lift him in.
