  • Chrome aerial

i'm looking for a chrome aerial to replace the standard black one supplied with my ds3. i was wondering if anybody has replaced their's or can anyone point me towards a good site. can you get them to fit straight on or do you need an adapter. i've seen a few on ebay but i'm sure there is more on offer on the internet somewhere. would like a anti theft one.

with all the chrome trim available for the DS3 i'm surprised Citroen don't have a option for the aerial

    WARNING

I bought a "Beesting chrome arial" on Fleabay about a month ago. It appears to be going rusty already.

Most of the so-called anti-theft offerings are a poor replacement, "Shark Fin" aerials need to be power boosted to provide a satisfactory signal....there is NO convenient supply at the site of the aerial mount.
and heres me thinking its just a case of take one off put another one on

Don't think acid rain is especially bad here.

I will go and unscrew it to investigate and report back in a few mins.

              Wierd Milo and apologies,

It really looked like rust but with elbow grease it has come off leaving smooth chrome behind!!!

              Confused now.

I brought a cheap Ali 1 off ebay - looks good and signal seems fine. Might oxidise over time but will clean off Ali easily. Was only £2.70 when i brought mine..!!

Crazy thing - took my beesting arial off to examine (as above) and forgot to put it back on!

Been driving round all day listening to Radio 4 with perfect reception without the arial!?
