Sunroof

I'd like to fit a sunroof to my Techno hatchback, something like the classic Webasto from the 1960s but failing that a tilt and slide. Has anyone done this and / or can recommend an installer?

For all sorts of reasons a cabriolet doesn't work for me and this could be a good compromise, if it's possible.

What reasons? A cabrio seems like the obvious solution.

Like a boot you can use?

Had an A3 cabrio for a few years and got fed up with posting luggage, DS load space is materially worse, as is rear visibility with the top down.

A3 had a great trick, when the hood failed you needed to open the boot to lower it manually. The boot lid locked while the hood lowered. You could get into the boot bylowering the rear seat backs but the controls were in the boot...

Fair enough, that's understandable. I imagine a sunroof will be an expensive addition though.

The issue with an after market sunroof is that the standard roof will not be strengthen to support the loss of structure, personally I would not recommend it.

I've seen countless cabrio's but only had the opportunity to walk around one last weekend.

Your comments about the boot space in the DS3 Cabrio are bang on, god knows what the designers were thinking when they built it -_-

As above though, I wouldn't recommend fitting an aftermarket sunroof primarily for safety reasons.

Same here regarding the cabriolet.
Had a close look while my van was in for a service.although the boot is relatively the same size the opening is just like a letter box.
