  • disconnecting rear light cluster

    Hi all

Firstly great site / club, some great tips on here.....

Had my Ds3 for a few months now, until bang ! yesterday my son cracked the rear light with a football........ ouch !

Its v easy to unscrew and remove but i cant get the connector off the rear of the light unit, i feel really daft asking this but dont want to force it and break something.... is there a knack where you press and pull ??

    Any help greatly appreciated

I've never looked at mine, so I can't really help on the connector; you may need to twist it or press a tab or tabs to release it. However, the easiest way of doing the job may just be to swap the bulbholders from the old light to the new one - they are held in by four tabs, the location of which is shown in a diagram in the handbook.

It's been a while since I did mine but I think there's a tab on the connector. I can't remember if you squeeze it or insert a flat bladed screwdriver though.

If my memory is correct there is a small tab on the side you need to press. Then pull the connector apart.

Correct and a pic is worth a thousand words.
Press in on the rectangle shape protrusion and pull plug out at the same time
