Does anybody know how to set the clock (monochrome A display) to the exact time?

I've tried various methods but mine's persistently about 25 seconds out, which is annoying as for a lot of the time it's showing a different time to my speed camera warning device & satnav!

Nothing helpful in the handbook. . .

Can't you set it when the real time is dead on the minute i.e. synchronise it?

Set it ahead and you'll always be early.

Set your sat nav 25 seconds behind?

Actually that is a good point JB. Would it be easier to change the nav?

Most by default are set by the satellites, though I think that can be turned off.

I've tried that, both changing the minute on the display & pressing enter exactly on the minute. . . neither works.

And for those unfamiliar with GPS-based equipment, the GPS system provides a time signal - without that, GPS positioning won't work. The point here is not just the fact that the car clock is at a variance with the other devices though, it's the fact that it's WRONG!

My TomTom you can choose if the clock is set by satellite or not. GPS still works fine either way.

It's the TomTom GO LIVE 1005 with world maps, although it needs updating, it keeps complaining at me.
