  • Has anyone else thought about trading their DS3 for a Cabrio DS3?

Am I mad or is the cabrio a worse choice over my ds3 dsport THP?

    Anyone done the above ?

It's not a worse choice if you get a DSport THP Cabrio

Only downsides I can see are the reduced visibility, smaller boot opening and (I presume) slightly heavier car due to the Cabrio mechanisms.

I was put off by the boot. But this is obviously a personal grudge. My sub, the club items I take with me throughout the year and lots of trips with luggage its not feasible.

I've thought about it... kind of still am... but haven't actually looked at one yet! The boot opening does put me off though.

Surprised that they are already down to around 10k with relatively low mileage, so gonna keep an eye on the classifieds..

Rosy Red and Black combo followed by Metalic grey is leading the colour stakes so far.

It would have to be another DSport + but am slightly worried about what issues the THP engine brings..

Am I right in thinking that when roof is down you cannot access boot as the rear window slides down behind the boot door!!!

Nope, looking at the video Joni posted, the fabric roof just bunches at the bottom of the rear windscreen. When the boot is accessed, the roof slides up and the boot opens.

Rather have a proper roof than a sardine can :-)

Have driven a Cabrio for couple days. Seemed a bit more rattly to me.... if you can get a more rattly Citroen

I had a cabrio when my ds3 was in for repair after my second gear box, they practically just came out, they're okay but never as good as a hardtop in my opinion, they never handle the same and aren't as dynamic, the boot opening really annoyed me and the roof colour on the metal did t match the fabric (just bugged me lol) depends on how much use you would get out of it but for me it wouldn't be worth it plus I always see them as more feminine :@ great car but not for me

@Chris, it is lol, also I got a lot of tramping when accelerating, I kept trying the put the suspension through the bonnet for fun in the end lol, they're not as fast either

A saloon adapted into a cabriolet is always a compromise no matter who makes it. Some may love it but unless it really excites you then no. Citroen launched the Pluriel a few years ago and wished they hadn't. DS 3 is a great small car, but in a cabriolet it takes away the attributes and doesn't add the benefits of a proper convertible.

I found they preferred to give me bits cost free, rather than reduce the price

Well my car is in top condition so I'm looking to almost swop. Same spec, same mileage and only 4 months difference in age.
