Drive home mode

Whist driving home yesterday my DS3 lost power and a 'drive home' mode message came up on the dash - does anyone know what that means and what's likely to be wrong please ?

It means the ECU's seen a fault affecting the car's performance. There's no point in speculating what the problem is - get the fault codes read.
