      PCP Mileage...

Exactly. If I hadn't changed it, I'd probably be facing a big mileage charge. Fortunately I'm able to afford the additional £15/month.

Only fiddle is that the 3 years servicing deal (which some of you may have had, can't remember how widespread it is) only goes up to 35,000 miles regardless. So I'll be paying for my next one, I think.

Also worth noting that the GFV came down slightly to just below the £7K mark as a result of the increased mileage.

Apparently, my finance company won't allow me to change my miles so I have no choice but to take the hit when it comes to giving my car back.
        Can only blame myself.

I increased my mileage last month of my PCH agreement, extra £2/month for 7k miles.

Makes me wonder how they can justify charging so much for excess mileage...

Very simple, the GFV is based off the mileage you state for the agreement. With residual values the lower the mileage the larger the off set over allowance hence the higher charge if you go over.

Well my car hit 2 years old today and passed the 45,000 mile mark. Meaning I wanna aim to do less than 15,000 before next August.
Operation tricky! I do wonder what sort of deal I might get if I exit early and before it hits the 60k...

I was just thinking about this today... looked through all my documents and trying to work out how much excess mileage charge is. As in pence per mile. I'm in a conundrum between ringing up PSA again to adjust the mileage (this incurred an admin charge last time), working out how much I'm likely to be over, and taking measures to reduce my mileage between now and next August. I've done 25k in one year and really need to do less than 15k before next Aug. Despite what people say, it's quite tricky to predict your mileage, especially if your circumstances change.
