  • Done the deed!

Yes, for the first time in my life I have actually bought a new car.

It's a DSport 110. Beige (well I am 64) with black roof, black leather and City pack. Hummed and hahed over the MyWay satnav but decided against it. I have a TomTom but I was tempted by the colour screen for music track display etc, not so much the satnav element.

Delivery is very vague - April/May.

I have three females in the family and though they would have liked me to buy the white Orla Keily one in the showroom, they took the sensible step of letting me choose the final colour. Personally I would have liked to have gone back to the wild days of my youth of sports cars, cocktails and fast women (I wish) and chosen a sport yellow with white roof, the sensible side took over however and I chose something a bit more conservative.

Nevertheless I think the combination looks great. Classy without looking too much like an old fart's Rover 200.
I now have to put up with the ailing C3 for 8 weeks or so but hey ho, something to look forward to.

I know this should probably be in the ICE thread but can you stream music over Bluetooth from a smartphone (HTC Hero). I'm sure the phone supports music streaming over Bluetooth but I'm not sure about the car.

            Phew, close shave.

The O.K. looks like a pavement pizza.

Have fun with the new car!

Welcome and good choice on the motor, I use HTC Incredible S and wife uses HTC Desire to stream music via blue-tooth to our DS3 and it works great, seeing as though the the Hero has the similar spec A2DP as mine & other HTC phones which is for use with stereo blue-tooth headsets it should work just fine as should the hands free calling. Enjoy when you get it.
I couldn't fix yer brakes so I made your horn louder!

Thanks. I rented a Kia Cee'd over the weekend with USB connection and bluetooth, and that streamed over bluetooth fine.

The USB worked alright with a flash memory stick but I found out you had to pay attention to MP3 filenames - at least make sure that filnames aren't too long. also it was a bit of a pain getting to the track you want out of the 300 or so on the stick. I'm hoping the DS3 will be a bit more forgiving.

Couldn't get to usb to recognize the phone, or any of the various iPods I have.
