Extended Warranty ?

Hi y'all, what are the opinions with regards to extended warranties ?, my ds3 will be 3 years old in Feb '16 and was wondering about extending it, Click4warranties seem to have reasonable premiums but do they all have small print to beware of, I'd appreciate an advice.

How much do they want? If you can, go for Citroën's extended warranty. I found that to be the cheapest at about £250. I'd say it's well worth it as mine had repairs worth more than that in the first year so it paid for itself.

They're offering a 3,4&5 star warranty, the 5 star one seems to cover just about everything and they're asking £450 for three years cover, I just wondered if anybody knew of any hidden clauses to beware of such as " only if it breaks down on 29th Feb whilst being driven by the pope " !

My advise would be to go for the Citroen Warranty as your car will then be covered by the network, never heard of Click4 warranty before and I'm honest I would be wondering how they can offer the cover they do as well as how many garages would agree to do the work.

Our Service Manager has turned away a few cars now which had been covered by what he called "Baked Bean" Warranties purely because of the joke of payment they give for the work asked for, for example a car with broken injectors the warranty group would only pay £9 per hour for the job and required a 30% discount on the part. Customer told to go elsewhere.

That's the risk you take with random internet purchases of anything.

Enquire about the Citroën one if you can.

I got a quote from Warranty Direct and they wanted £500 a year. Considering Citroën's own one was half that price for the same cover, it was a no-brainer.
