  • yet another new member :) hi

    Hello all

I have just ordered the white liimited edition hdi.

Been umming and arring for 4 weeks, done research on loads of small cars, fiesta, corsa, kia, seat, ds3 etc

Was tempted by Seat due to No Vat deal at the moment but still decided with DS3 due to looks

    I got a 2 year deal, £2000 deposit and £200 a month, 12000 miles a year (i do around 10000)

    Should get it next week

I was the same, I hummed and hahed as well and looked at pretty much all of the superminis out there, plus a few small MPVs and crossovers. They were all, almost without exception, boring. I got fed up of looking at acres of grey plastic and having to pay extra for all the toys I've come to know and love, such as cruise control. The Nissan Juke was a contender but it's design was a bit too radical for the female side of the family. The Fiestas were nice cars, but lacking in style IMHO - likewise Polos and Golfs with their styling stuck in the last decade.

The DS3 has all the toys, especially the sport. I'm paying for leather seats and the City signature, and it is coming out quite expensive, but what the hell, you only live once.

Sounds like you went through the same thought-process as loads of others on here, MK.

Your analysis of what's wrong, design-wise, with most of the rest of the motor industry (summed up in 3 words - dull, dull & dull) is spot-on.
