  • A Silly Question

    Hey Guys/Girls,

Greetings from sunny Australia. I took delivery of my sports yellow/black DS3 Sport on 25/02/2011. I am currently the first in my city to have bought one, so it turns a lot of heads wherever it goes. I will post some pictures very soon.

I just have a question that is probably really silly but what is the optimum cold tyre pressure? I have read the owners book cover to cover with luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

    Steve

      Welcome Steve.

When in doubt or if you don't have the handbook to hand (not got mine so can't check) go off the markings on the sidewall of the tyre; it should state the maximum psi the tyre can deal with.

From here, take away 10-15% to get a decent enough guesstimate. You should be reading about 32-33psi though (2.2/2.3 Bar)

Firstly hello and welcome to the club. If it's any help, my THP is currently running 2.4 bar all round which according to the manual is spot on. Personally I think they are over inflated. Trial and error I guess mate. Things will get even more interesting when / if you change your tire/wheel combo.

Open the passenger door and down on the metal should be a white with silver sticker, on the top part is a picture which shows the tyre pressures for your model.

            Example below

Didn't realise they were importing DS3s into Oz -whereabouts are you?

I am in Townsville, Queensland (Home of the Great Barrier Reef) it is a really nice part of the country. The yellow just looks so good, the only other colour I entertained was red, but yellow had me right from the start.

LOL at Australia cricket team. England were by far and away the best team for the entire ashes, you have got some really great players in your team.

"Mellow Yellow" that's cool, mine usually gets referred to as Bumble Bee from Transformers :-)
