  • Return ro invoice

    Hi

Just heard we should be getting the car next week.

I know this has been mentioned a couple of times but just wondered how many took out return to invoice insurance?

Wont be getting the one offered by dealer but have been searching on;line, really need it for 2nd year onwards but understand it has to be taken out soon.

    Would appreciate any advice. Tthanks.

That depends on what advice you need mate. I would never have a new car without it thats for sure!

I set us up with St. Andrews Group which gives me three years and a shortfall of up to 15k. Do take the time to check the different types of policy, don't just opt for the cheapest as its cheap for a reason! Make sure you have a descent shortfall amount to cover yourself, also check to make sure you are covered if someone else is drving as I had a customer who got caught out with that when his mate drove his car and wrote it off and the VRI wouldn't pay because he was not driving himself. And on a final note make sure the insurance company is regulated by the FSA.

Yeah, made a typo on the title and tried to edit and ended up with double post!!, not sure how to delete one and alter my title?

Thanks for quick reply, I am sure our insurance co covers us for a new car in the 1st year if written off and I feel quite sure I read somewhere (prob on here but cant find it now) that some policies start from 2nd year.

Would you mind saying what you paid?
