  • Returning a used car to Hartwell after a month of ownership?

So, I've had my used 2012 DS3 DSport THP for a little over a month now and it's been in and out of the garage 3 times since. It's currently in for a replacement Turbo, HPFP and some work with the Aircon pump. I've put about 300 miles on it in that time (Minus the 60 miles I've spent driving to and from the garage) and really, I'm just not happy with the Prince engine. It's too unreliable for me.

Does anyone have any ideas on whether or not i'll be able to return the car and get all my money back based on this reason? Providing I've had it for a little over a month and have put around 300 miles on it.

    Thanks,
    Danny

If you're not happy with it I'd review the sale agreement you have with Hartwell, what do the T&Cs say ?

If it's not clear I'd speak to the customer service manager and explain that you want to return it as you have no confidence in the car or the reliability of it. 3 times in a month is not good by any standard....

First point of call would be contract. Any rejection/termination clause.

Then next point of call would be to try reach a compromise.

Finally you would have protection legally under consumer rights (sale of goods act etc) but everyone knows that's a bit of a pain in the ass (unless you're a keyboard warrior obviously)
