Hi everyone , I'm new to forums so apologies if I've posted in the wrong area . Just purchase my new Black Dsport and am having electric lime graphics fitted and tinted windows. I've fitted a zun/sport front grill but was wandering if I swapped the normal roof aerial for a stubby one if I would loose signal quality.

      Welcome to the club

I think it depends on the strength of your preferred radio station in your area, some people have no issues, some people completely lose their favourite station.

Don't forget to post some pics

I swapped my aerial for a smaller bee sting one and I haven't lost signal. I guess it depends where you live.

          Hello

I swapped mine for a stubby one (it looks great) but it does knacker the FM reception when I drive across the south and up to Liverpool. Some parts are ok but it's crackly for the majority.

I keep it now for shows and club events and swap it back afterwards

You can also remove the top of the OEM aerial, carefully unwind the copper, trim a couple of inches off using a hacksaw or snips and then rewind the copper wire and refit the rubber top to the aerial. Whilst not as short as a stubby this does at least let you keep your FM reception in poor service areas
