So long as your witnesses can conirm that the other party was giving misleading zignalls then you are not at fault, There are a masisve number of claims solicitors out there who you could approach but if the other party is oreoared to cough up for the repaiars then OK

Thats the idea! Now all you need to do is put that onto your insurance claim form!!!

Whilst I'm waiting for the bodyshop to book me in, I'm going to have to get a laser four wheel alignment done as the steering wheel is not centred when going in a straight line as it was before.

If the read wheel is out of alignment, will it be adjustable? Or will it indicate something's been bent somewhere?

It's probably a track rod that's been bent, and tbh the bodyshop will have alignment equipment for the drive train and bodyshell and will sort it all out.

I think it would be knock-for-knock at best. Though misleading signals are a contributing factor they don't completely remove the responsibility of not pulling out of a junction until safe to do so.

Agreed. I seen a nasty smash once at work. Bit of road going all the way up and there is a turn in to get to the business park, some old dear had her left indicator on whilst driving up the road towards the entrance to the park. To anyone waiting to exit the part, you would think she was pulling in, so some chappie proceeded to pull out of the exit and onto the road and she went slam bang into him. Although there were witnesses it ended up being him liable, as he should have waited really to ensure it was safe to exit before he did. Indicators don't really mean anything in this instance.

              Good luck though!

                I absolutely agree.

Usually I am a bit paranoid and wait 'till I'm 100% sure. Not sure why it was different this time - oh well. I think it was perhaps the combination of her indicating AND slowing that mislead me. Live and learn.

Yeah that is a bummer. Usually you can tell by the "body language" of the car whether they are turning or not, independent of the indicator. If the indicator and the body language is there it's sometimes a big temptation to go for it.
