I just clocked 238 miles to £20 of diesel (half a tank) in my 1.6 diesel 90hp. is that good? what's everyone else getting?

That's roughly what I get in my diesel D Sport and I just drive how I like. I do make an effort to use stop start when I can too though I'm not in town that much

Our 90 gets 48 mpg on the trip computer...I'd expected better but it's mainly short trips with the climate on and my OH drives it like she stole it.

I get roughly 56/57 on a 110 DSport and that's with fairly 'spirited' driving.

Sounds about right. I get about 50mpg on average but it includes a daily commute which can be slow. Longer journeys has it go up to 55mpg. I'm not sure with the accelerator either

I also have 1.6 diesel 90hp and I got roughly the same figures, but that's on a very short daily commute. Just before Christmas I will be driving through Europe it will be just over 1100 mile trip one way, in space of 2 weeks I will probably do around 2,5k miles so I will report on fuel economy as most of it will be motorway and german autobahns

My mpg is currently averaging 53.2, has been as high as 58mpg but the cold weather seems to knock off a few mpg every winter. I also run with the AC on auto all the time and don't like to hang around. With no dual carriageway driving it can drop to 48mpg

Record how many miles you did then divide that by number of gallons used. If your car lives on fivers it's pretty hard otherwise just brim it, reset your odometer, drive as usual, when you fill again brim it and record the litres used, divide that by 4.54 to get gallons. Then divide mileage on odometer by fuel used...or use something like fuelly that does all the maths for you but is essentially the same.

just press the button on the end of the windscreen wiper control stick until the mpg is shown on the digital display on the dash. if you have a ds3 that is

It depends, trip computers can be wildly over optimistic so if you want a rough idea use the trip, if you want to know you'll have to work it out.
